Crafty Catz Challenge - Use Old Stash

Image
It's time for our new challenge to start today over at Crafty Catz, and this week our theme is anything goes with the optional twist of "use old stash".  Scrap n dipity is our generous sponsor this week, and I have used one of their lovely digi stamps for this card. I have coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol pens and added some gloss accents to the glasses and buttons (some of my very old stash - I bought it years ago from a craft show and it never seems to run out!). The gorgeous papers are from Hunkydory's Garden Treasures range (some from the 8"x8" paper pad and some are from the Adorable Scorable cardstock collection). The with love stamp is from the For The Love Of Stamps Sweet Wishes set, and the butterflies are from the Garden Treasures Bright and Beautiful and A Work Of The Heart stamp sets. I have added a die cut doily, some crochet lace and some Nuvo pearl drops to finish. Thanks for stopping by today and for any comments you leave. I...

The backing paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Berry Café 12"x12" paper pad, and I have added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink round the edges. I added a few Tonic Nuvo white pearl drops to finish. Garden Treasures

Image
Today I'm sharing the last of my samples made for the new Hunkydory Garden Treasures range. I really enjoyed working with this range - the pretty images and the spring like colours are gorgeous. I matted a sheet from the paper pad onto some blue card from the co-ordinating Garden Treasures Adorable Scorable cardstock . I used a white circle stamping mat and stamped some of the flowers from the Bright and Beautiful  stamp set and a sentiment from the Arranged With Love stamp set. I have coloured with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I added a couple of stamped butterflies from the Bright and Beautiful stamp set. I also cut out another butterfly from the paper pad that I layered over the top of the base image. Some glitter glue was added to finish. Card size is 7"x7". Crafty Catz Challenge - B Is For Bug

Image
It's time for our new challenge over at Crafty Catz, and this week we are anything goes with the optional theme of "B is for bug". Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor this week, and I have used the cute Bee Flower digi stamp. We are also looking for our next Guest Designer for April, so if you're interested all you have to do is add GD after your name when you link up your entry. I decided to decorate a notebook for a change, rather than make a card. I have coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir alcohol pens. The papers are from the new Hunkydory Garden Treasures 8"x8" paper pad. A very simple design but it shows off the adorable stamp. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Crafty Gals Corner #161 make it green Lemon Shortbread #63 anything goes Crafty Creations #362 anything goes

Garden Treasures Stamps

Image
Today I am sharing a relatively clean and simple card, made using the new Garden Treasures stamps by For The Love Of Stamps. I have used the A Work Of The Heart stamp set for this one. I masked out some of the elements to look like the objects were overlapping each other. I have stamped with black Versafine for a sharp image, and coloured with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. The finished size is 7"x5". I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Creative Moments #138 anything goes with optional twist feminine Digi Choosday week #11 anything goes Penny's Challenge #371 anything goes

Shutter Card

Image
Today I'm sharing a shutter card. This was the first time I've ever actually managed to make one of these cards! I tried a few years back but couldn't get my head around all the mountain and valley folds, but I managed to crack it this time! Unfortunately it was very hard to photograph!  I used a mixture of the Hunkydory Garden Treasures paper pad  and Arranged With Love , Bright and Beautiful and A Work of the Heart stamp sets. I also used the Butterfly Dance mask. I coloured with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils and used spun sugar and dusty concord Distress Ink through the mask. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Pammie's Inky Pinkies #1810 anything goes Artistic Inspirations #195 anything goes Crafting From The Heart #198 anything goes

Sweet Wishes

Image
Hello all, thanks for stopping by today. Did you have a nice mother's day, those celebrating it? We decided to bake our mum some cherry brownies as last time I'd made them they were delicious...but this time it was a total disaster!! For one reason or another they didn't cook (we still don't know why!) so we've ended up with more of a chocolate mousse... Onto today's card, I've used the gorgeous new Hunkydory Garden Treasures for this one. I used the Garden Treasures paper pad for the daffodil background and also the green patterned panel. The gold card is oval mirri mats and the square mirri mats that have been cut down. I used the daffodil stamp from the Arranged With Love stamp set and the bee and sentiment stamp from the Bright and Beautiful stamp set to create my topper. I also added some green ink around the edges of the oval. I used Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils to colour with. The finishing touches were some of Hunydory's gold gems. Fin...

Watering Can Card

Image
Today I'm sharing a simple little card made using some of the new stamps from Hunkydory's Garden Treasures range. The card blank is one of Hunkydory's ink me! 4"x4" cards. I have used the A Work of the Heart stamp set by For The Love Of Stamps, stamped in black Versafine (I masked the lower bird off to make it seem like it was stood in front of the watering can) and coloured with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I added a simple black mat (using For The Love Of Stamps midnight black stamping card) and used foam pads to adhere it to my card blank. I would like to enter this one into the following challenges: Crafty Sentiments anything goes Digi Choosday week 10 anything goes Crafty Gals Corner #160 anything goes

Hunkydory Garden Treasures

Image
Today I am sharing one of my samples made using the new Garden Treasures range by Hunkydory, which launched today on Create and Craft TV. I got to play with the gorgeous new stamps, masks, the paper pad and cardstock collection, and I had so much fun creating my samples! I used the Arranged With Love stamp set to create this easel card. The vase was stamped with black Versafine ink and coloured in with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. The sentiment was stamped onto a white circular For the Love Of Stamps mirri mat, matted onto a gold mirri mat and then onto a circle of patterned paper from the paper pad. The base of the card was made using 2 6"x6" For The Love Of Stamps ink me! white card blanks. The scribbled paper is from the Garden Treasures 8"x8" paper pad and the pink card is from the coordinating Adorable Scorable matt-tastic cardstock collection. The gold card is For The Love Of Stamps mirri mats, cut down to the size I wanted it. The gems use...

Home MDF Plaque

Image
Today I am sharing a home décor piece that I made a few months back. I had so much fun making this MDF plaque and will definitely be making some more to hopefully sell at craft fairs over the coming months. The MDF plaque was painted using acrylic paint. The papers are from a 12"x12" pad I picked up at the Range. I added hessian, lace, vellum die cuts (Spellbinders decorative labels 8 and Sara's Signature Shabby Chic collection doily) and a pearl swirl made using Tonic Nuvo drops. The dies used for the sentiment are Sue Wilson's Oslo dies. I hand wrote the word "home". The flowers are all die cut (Heartfelt Creations vintage florets for the larger flower and the other flower die was a free one that came with my Gemini machine) and hand shaped and layered. The sprigs are cut using Sue Wilson's olive branch dies. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Crafty Sentiments anything goes Cute Card Thursday #519 anythi...

Image
Hello all, hope you are well and keeping warm - it's freezing where I am and we have had a lot of snow these past few days. We have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Catz today - the theme is anything goes with the optional twist of a baby card. Di's Digi Stamps is our generous sponsor for this week. For this card I have used the Totally Quackers stamp set by For The Love Of Stamps, and I have coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol pens with some Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencil detail on top. The lovely yellow paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Berry Café 12"x12" paper pad, with some yellow ink added to the edges. I have used the Sue Wilson diamond squares background die to cut some detail into the white strip. The "baby" sentiment has been created using the alphabet in the Sweet Wishes stamp set by For The Love Of Stamps.
