Hunkydory Blossoming Blues Stamps
Today I'm sharing some more of my samples made using the Hunkydory Blossoming Blues collection. These cards feature the Blossoming Blues stamp set, as well as some other elements from the collection.
I used one of the inserts from the collection as my background to stamp the roses onto. I masked the roses out so that it looks like one big corner stamp (when in fact it is several different rose stamps). I coloured the images in using Hunkydory Prism inks and a waterbrush. I used the alphabet stamps to create the sentiment, and inked the edges of the piece. The butterflies are also stamps from the set.
I will be entering this card into the following challenges:
Polkadoodles week #33 anything goes
Corrosive Challenge #8 anything goes
For this card, I have stamped the rose cluster twice onto white card and twice onto one of the double sided papers (the same peachy coloured one used in the background). I coloured the leaves in on the white pieces and added some shading to the flowers on the peach pieces (using Hunkydory Prism inks). I cut the roses out and paper-pieced them onto the white layers. I then fussy cut around the whole rose cluster images. I've used the alphabet stamps to create the sentiment, and then just layered the card up as shown.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Lemon Shortbread #74 anything goes
Penny's Challenge #393 anything goes
Don't miss the launch of the brand new Hunkydory Prism alcohol pens on Create and Craft TV tomorrow at 8am (UK time). I was lucky enough to be able to have a play with these fantastic new pens and I really enjoyed working with them. There will also be a handbook available to buy to guide you through how to get the best from your pens and improve your colouring.
