Steampunk Card

The card I'm sharing today is not my usual style, but I actually really enjoyed making this one! I'd never really tried steampunk before but I will be definitely trying out this style again in the future.




I have used the new For The Love Of Stamps "Key To My Heart" stamp set and coloured with vintage photo Distress Ink and a waterbrush. I created the background by picking up some of the ink that was on my large acrylic block (by wiping the paper through the ink), inking the edges of the card and using the co-ordinating masks over the top.

Hello all, hope you are well. As some of you may know, I was GDT for Crafty Catz Challenge for January. But they have asked me to stay on as part of their design team...and of course I said yes! We have a new challenge for you today - it is anything goes with the optional theme of "one for the girls". This week Star Stamps is sponsoring us, and they kindly gave us some beautiful images to play with. On my card I have used the Belle Chibi digi stamp. The digi stamp was printed onto Canson "C" à grain paper (it has a bit of a "tooth" to it so is better for use with coloured pencils than a super smooth card) and I coloured the image in using my Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I really enjoyed colouring this one in - I'm pretty happy with how the pleats turned out but I definitely need to practice a bit more! I inked around the edges to give more of a vintage look. Hunkydory Prism Watercolour Pencils

Today I'm sharing my samples made using the brand new Hunkydory Prism watercolour pencils. I had such fun working with these pencils as I'd not used watercolour pencils in quite a long time, and these pencils were just a joy to use. This card uses one of the new FTLOS watercolour wonders stamp sets as well as some of the older FTLOS stamp sets for the butterflies and bees. I've also used one of the watercolour wonders stamp sets for this easel card I've used masking with one of the new watercolour wonders stamp sets to create this DL card. This card uses the FTLOS Fly Away With Me stamp set. I've used the FTLOS Up, Up and Away stamp set on this CAS card.   I've stamped the FTLOS Lovely Lilies onto kraft card for this card. Bugaboo Sweet Unicorn

Good morning all - thanks for stopping by today and hope you are all well. I'm just about recovered from a nasty stomach bug that came on last Thursday - there seems to be a lot of these illnesses about at the moment. We have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Catz  - anything goes with the optional twist of something new, and this week is my last week as Guest Designer at Crafty Catz. I have used my new Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils for this one as well as some papers I was yet to use..  Bugaboo Stamps is sponsoring us this week and I have chosen to use the adorable Sweet Unicorn digi stamp. The pretty papers are from a kit I got as a free gift at Crafting Live Doncaster last July - they match so perfectly with the image. I made some of my own paper flowers to embellish the card, and added glitter glue, ribbon and Nuvo pearl drops too. A super girly card which I really like!
