Crafty Catz Challenge - Birthdays

We have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Catz this week - as always we are anything goes with an optional twist, which this week is "birthdays". Our sponsor this week is Time For Tea, and I got to play with the gorgeous banner girl digi stamp to make this card.

I coloured her in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. The papers I have used are from For The Love Of Stamps polka dots perfect backgrounds stamping pad and American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm paper pad. I have used an embossing folder on one of the layers and sanded back the design to reveal the white core of the paper. I have also used a doily die (Sara's Signature Shabby Chic collection) and some Die'sire heart dies. The sentiment stamp is from the For The Love Of Stamps Hooked on You stamp set. Some organza ribbon and Tonic Nuvo drops were the finishing touches. The card measures 6"x6".

I will be entering this one into the following challenges:
Crafty Gals Corner #159 add a heart
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #76 anything goes
Creatalicious #133 anything goes with optional for a boy/man

    1. Thank you Jana! I am enjoying using the Spectrum Noir pencils at the moment, and generally find they blend well. They're not perfect and I imagine the more expensive brands are smoother to lay down colour, but they're definitely good value for money.
