Hunkydory Blossoming Blues

Today I've got a few more of my samples to share using the new Hunkydory Blossoming Blues collection.




For this card, I've used loads of different elements from across the whole collection. I used some of the parchment over the top of one of the papers to create the background. The topper has been built up using one of the tags and a sentiment.

As soon as I saw the die-cut letters, I knew I wanted to create some bunting. The base triangular shapes were cut from the matching Matt-Tastic Adorable Scorable card. I gave each letter a silver foiled drop shadow (all of the letters are part of the luxury card collection). I also used the Blossoming Blues stamp set to stamp out 2 of the butterflies and 2 of the bows and added these to the bottom of the bunting. I attached the bunting to some striped twine.

This final card was a very quick and simple make. I've used the foiled cardstock, sentiments and embellishments from the kit. I finished the card off with some Hunkydory diamond sparkles silver metallic gemstones.

Crafty Catz Challenge - Layer It Up

It's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week our theme is anything goes with the optional twist of "layer it up". Digi Doodle Studios  is our sponsor for this week and they kindly gave the team our images to play with - I've chosen to use the beautiful Bella Butterfly digi stamp. I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol pens to colour the image. The butterfly paper came free with an old issue of Papercraft Inspirations and the other patterned papers are from the Bebunni range off a Crafters Companion CD rom. I used some pink core'dinations for the mats. The part of Spellbinders adorning squares that I cut down. I added some white Nuvo drops to finish. The card size is 6"x6". Crafty Catz Challenge - One For The Girls

Hello all, hope you are well. As some of you may know, I was GDT for Crafty Catz Challenge for January. But they have asked me to stay on as part of their design team...and of course I said yes! We have a new challenge for you today - it is anything goes with the optional theme of "one for the girls". This week Star Stamps is sponsoring us, and they kindly gave us some beautiful images to play with. On my card I have used the Belle Chibi digi stamp. The digi stamp was printed onto Canson "C" à grain paper (it has a bit of a "tooth" to it so is better for use with coloured pencils than a super smooth card) and I coloured the image in using my Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I really enjoyed colouring this one in - I'm pretty happy with how the pleats turned out but I definitely need to practice a bit more! I inked around the edges to give more of a vintage look.
