Sweet Peas

I love sweet peas - they're such interesting and pretty flowers. The card I'm sharing today uses the sweet pea stamp from the For The Love Of Stamps Birth Flowers range - and the sweet pea is actually the birth flower for those born in April.

This is a nice clean and simple card - but don't be fooled, it wasn't a particularly quick make! I used watercolour pencils to colour with, and I find it takes me quite a while to build up the layers to get some shading (and with 4 flower bunches to colour it took a bit of time, but a fun process). I matted the stamped piece onto an ever so slightly larger piece of purple, and then stuck that to my DL card blank.

I would like to enter this one into the following challenges:

Well I'm nearly all set for Christmas now - I made all my homemade cookie gifts yesterday and they're all wrapped with a handmade tag ready to give to friends. Just 1 more Christmas card to make now..
